Jackson accused McCabe of fabricating her story for the jury benefit to which McCabe Vehemently denied. Jackson also brought up a forensic examination of McCabe cell phone which allegedly show that she searched for information on how long it take for someone to die of hypothermia at 2:27 am on January 29. Several hours before O’Keefe body was found. McCabe denied making that search at that time, explaining that she was actually searching for basketball team her daughter had invited to join around 2:00 a.m.
She claim that she only research for information on hypothermia hours later after she and Read found O’Keefe body and read asked her to took up the answer. McCabe emphasized that she would never have left O’Keefe out in the cold to die because he was her friend whom she cared for deeply.

Karen Read Murder Allegation, Case and Trial
On January 29 2022 Boston police officer John O’Keefe was found dead in the snow outside a friends house in Canton, Massachusetts. His girlfriend Karen Read, was charged with his murder the night before they had been drinking at a bar before Read drove O’Keefe to a gathering at another officers home. They had been having relationship problem and read left him an angry voice mail that night. When O’Keefe didn’t return home Read and friends search for him and found his body around 6:00 a.m. Read was overheard saying I hit him which become crucial evidence.
Read was initially charged with manslaughter but the charges were later increased to second degree murder. Among other serious charges the prosecution argued that Read intoxicated accidentally hit O’Keefe with her SUV while trying to turn around and then left the scene.
